Intended specifically for MBAs of African American descent, the National Black MBA Association group on LinkedIn is the official group on LinkedIn of the host organization and has more than sixteen thousand members. The group’s purpose is to help launch African American MBAs into high-powered jobs and careers, provide advice on job hunting and professional navigation, and promote career growth among African Americans either seeking job opportunities at high-end companies or intent on beginning their own companies.

4. LadyMBA: A Community of Women MBA Applicants, Students & Recent Graduates

This small but vibrant community of women-only MBAs welcomes business practitioners at all stages of study and career, including prospective and current MBA students. The group is intended as a support structure for women in the field of business and the unique challenges they face, as well as a resource center for MBA application and admissions tips, learning, admissions interviews guides, and much more. While LadyMBA is one of the smallest groups on LinkedIn with just under ninety members, the group represents a support and professional networking body that female MBA students may significantly benefit from.

5. MBA Accounting and Finance

The MBA Accounting and Finance group is a learning resource for MBA students who are struggling with their accounting and finance classes. Made up of both MBA students and MBA accounting and finance instructors, the group exists as a resource for students to ask questions, to participate in and generate discussion with instructors and other students alike, and to assist students in digesting difficult concepts in accounting and finance to help them get through their studies. With nearly two thousand members, this group is a fantastic resource for MBA students at any stage of their study course.
